Emma is the Founder and Director of Global Training. Her background as a theatre director has allowed her to blend creative skills with meaningful, engaging people skills training for the business world. Emma's passion lies in unearthing people's core purpose and value in their work, and using this to connect teams to enable them to work effectively and happily. She has designed and delivered training programmes for the NHS, British Red Cross, Lloyds TSB, ZSL, Trafalgar Entertainment, TripAdvisor, trainee psychologists and lawyers, and the education sector.

Suneta Bagri

Suneta is a Senior Mediator and Course Leader at Global Mediation, following a 25-year career in education. She has held several senior leadership roles, including headteacher and executive headteacher, in varying school contexts including Special Educational Needs. She has a passion and expertise in SEND, working with schools to improve provision and outcomes for children and young people. Suneta is a Fellow of the Chartered College of Teaching, an award-winning wellbeing and leadership development coach, and is qualified in reflective supervision. She is a member of the College of Mediators and is an accredited SEND mediator.

Anup brings an adventurous spirit to conflict resolution and coaching. With a diverse background as a former Marine Engineering Officer, Rescue Deep-Sea Diver, Project Coordinator, Humanitarian Aid Worker and Business Development Manager, Anup's journey has taken him across over 50 countries. Now based in the UK, Anup works as a Conflict Mediator and ICF accredited Coach, supporting individuals and teams to build courage and drive positive change. His facilitation style is kind yet challenging — helping individuals and teams find alignment and focus. Clients consistently describe Anup as an insightful listener with a unique ability to understand challenges from multiple perspectives.

Professor Irvine Gersch — Emeritus Professor

Professor Irvine Gersch

Emeritus Professor

Irvine Gersch has spent more than four decades in teaching, advising, research and leadership in educational and child psychology. He has served as a government advisor and University Course Director responsible for training educational and child psychologists. His doctorate focused on school leadership and management. Irvine has led pioneering work on listening to children, school systems, special educational needs, leadership, coaching and mediation. His research and publications — comprising over 100 journal articles, book chapters and books — have shaped national discourse and practice. He has received prestigious awards from the British Psychological Society in 2002 and 2016.

Laurie Randall holds a Bachelor's degree in Peace Studies from the University of Bradford and a Peace and Conflict Studies MA from the University of Ulster. She works freelance as a mediator, facilitator and trainer and has worked with Mediation Northern Ireland since 1995. Past involvements include work with police training, the Parades Commission, and integrated education. Laurie is a qualified Pastoral Supervisor and facilitates reflective practice supervision for individuals and groups.

Martha has been a member of the Global Mediation panel as an accredited mediator since its inception in 1999. As well as carrying out direct mediations in all regions, her role involves local authority liaison, marketing and training. Martha is a member of the College of Mediators and the Civil Mediation Council panel of SEND mediation assessors. She practised simultaneously as a family law barrister for 16 years and holds a Masters in Law, but has recently focused entirely on her mediation practice, preferring the investigative, empowering and non-adversarial approach of dispute resolution.

Polly Walker — Mediator, Trainer & Coach

Polly Walker

Polly has worked with Global Mediation since 2015 as a SEND and housing mediator, contributing to the development of their accredited training programmes. Her background is in education, specifically teaching children and young people excluded from mainstream schools due to complex emotional and behavioural difficulties. She trained in non-violent crisis intervention techniques and restorative approaches, and became a qualified mediator in 2007. Since then she has worked extensively as a community, workplace and SEND mediator across various sectors. Polly is passionate about mediation as a vehicle for empowerment, problem-solving and positive communication.

Sean O'Baoill

Sean O'Baoill has been involved in mediation work for more than 25 years, working with Global Mediation, Housing Rights and Mediation Northern Ireland. Sean is an accredited, licensed mediator and professional practice supervisor. His roles have focused on the development of practitioners with communities, organisations and institutions in Northern Ireland, Macedonia and the North West of England. He holds qualifications in Youth Work, Restorative Justice and Principled Negotiation. Sean is also a storyteller and is passionate about exploring the role of narrative in meaning-making.
