SEND Mediation Training: Giving every child, family and professional a voice
Every Story Matters. Every Voice Counts.
When families of children with SEND face disagreements, it can feel as though the ground has shifted beneath them. Decisions that shape a child’s future are often made in rooms full of forms, processes and pressure. Voices get lost. Trust can break down.
SEND mediation can change that.
Our SEND Mediation Training helps professionals become the bridge between people and process — the steady hand that brings compassion and clarity back into the room.
“In every case, there is a child whose needs have been misunderstood. A family that’s tired. A professional who wants to do the right thing. Mediation is the place where we listen deeply, act wisely, and rebuild trust.”
— Suneta Bagri, Global Training Course Director
SEND disagreements can feel overwhelming. Families and professionals alike are navigating complex systems, big emotions and difficult decisions — all while trying to do what’s best for the child.
Mediation makes space for everyone to be heard. It brings clarity where there’s confusion, connection where there’s conflict and the chance to find solutions that truly centre the child’s needs.
This training will give you the skills and confidence to hold that space. To restore trust, rebuild relationships and help people move forward together.
This course gives you everything you need to become an accredited SEND mediator.
This isn’t a classroom course – it’s practical and immersive, using actor roleplay, real-life scenarios and guided mentoring. It’s the same experiential approach we use in Global Training’s work with the NHS, schools and local authorities nationwide.
